I received my MFA from Louisiana State University and my BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art. This training launched a teaching career that included Alma College, El Paso Museum of Art, the University of Alaska Anchorage and Ohio University. After returning to the Cleveland area I became the Gallery Director of the Sylvia Ullman American Crafts Gallery and later developed product for Pearlessence and Harry London Chocolates.
I have been a working artist and creative professional for decades. My professional exhibitions have been works in clay, printmaking, digital montage, clothing and jewelry.
Adornment has been my most recent exploration. I love hand pounded and oxidized metals as well as gems- raw or polished.
I became an Yoga Instructor in 2013 after years of practicing in various studios and styles. My first 200 hours of training were at Yoga Bliss in Akron. Immediately following my certification, I created an Outdoor Yoga and Meditation program at Crown Point Ecology in Bath Ohio that served our community for seven years. I dove back into more Yoga teacher training completing my 500 hour certification with YogaAkron108 and Tracy Rhinehart I am now a E-RYT500 and YACEP Yoga Instructor with over 2,000+ hours of teaching experience. I teach Vinyasa style Yoga class's and lead both 200 hour and 500 hour Teacher Training's.
In 2019, I began TrueBlueSoul coaching after making the most powerful lifestyle change yet. I gave up alcohol. True-blue means unwavering in ones commitment; or extremely loyal. Soul is our spiritual humaneness, our true essence. This one change to experience 100% of life has been a seed and a catalyst to living my core values of clarity and courage - and honestly, I am just better at life-all parts of life. Now I coach other women how to fully live into their own values.
